How HHM Began Its Sunday School Ministry

     

                                  Holy Heaven Ministry (HHM) Pakistan began with the founding of a church in Lahore, Pakistan, in 2003 by Pastor Aster John.  After leading many to Christ, Pastor John began HHM's first “Sunday School” (which actually meets every day of the week) on 21 March 2012, for ten children who desired a basic education, in addition to Bible instruction.

Those ten children were working along side their parents in the Brickline, a construction company in Lahore.  When we asked them why they worked there, they answered that their parents were unable to afford their schooling and were unable to feed them during the day.  Therefore, they worked at the factory in order to earn enough for one meal a day each.

HHM and its team decided to open a small Sunday School at which the children could not only get one free meal a day, but could also receive a basic education along with religious instruction.

Before entering the Sunday School, these ten children were unable to read or write, and didn't even know how to pray.  They lacked many things because their families were so poor.  But when they joined the HHM Sunday School, they began to read and write within only a few days.  They also learned very quickly how to pray.  HHM, at its own expense, also provided them with new shoes, along with instructional materials and notebooks.

 At first, HHM worked with only these ten children because of their condition.  But we had a desire to help many other like them.

After a few months, these children were fully trained in both their studies and their relationship with God.  God had blessed them with two good teachers, Anaam and Anushka, the son and daughter of Asher John.

After two years, attendance reached 41 children who wanted to study and not have to go to work.  Nine of these children are orphans.

HHM provides them with a free education and a free meal each day, along with spiritual instruction.  A brighter future is provided for them at our own expense.

So HHM is now working with more children than the original ten, but they are all focused.  They are present every day, we know each one personally, and they have all received Jesus as their Savior.  We know that they will become good sons and daughters of God because He chose them for His worship.  They will go on to save many others, just as they were saved in HHM Pakistan.

                                           Now HHM is receiving requests from many other children who want to join our Sunday School so that they may also receive the benefits that we are providing for our current 41 children  We have received requests from 160 additional children so far, but we are not able to accommodate them because of our limited space and funds.  It is our vision to purchase larger facilities and to be able to provide food and clothing for many more children, but we nned your help.
